Sameer Bhide is the author of the book, One Fine Day. In today’s episode, he shares his incredible journey of overcoming serious life challenges, learning to accept reality as it is, and being resilient in the face of great difficulty.
Born in India, Sameer grew up in Mumbai, then moved to the United States 30 years ago. He worked in global consulting and technology firms and eventually became a citizen. Married, with a young family, everything was going fine…until “that fateful day on January 31st, 2017.”
At 47, Sameer suffered a massive and rare stroke, which led to a brain hemorrhage and being in a coma for 30 days. After working nonstop for 24 years, he was forced to stop working. In 2018 he went through a divorce —“my entire life came crashing down,” he says.
So he started journaling…and writing. At first, his initial question was, “Why me?” But as he continued writing, he developed a strong calling to help others who are going through adversity or major life changes.
Sameer says we don’t need to have a major crisis in life before we can start journaling or changing our attitude —we can begin today! He shares his stories, experiences, and lessons in his memoir, which I highly recommend you read.
