Do you know the thing that’s working against you? The thing that’s making it difficult for you to achieve a certain level of success? If you aren’t quite sure what that thing might be then take solace in the fact that you’re not alone. The truth is that most people don’t understand what they’re up against, looking at their struggles from a victim place rather than taking ownership of their situation. You may have an idea that times are tough, that there are challenging moments that come up way too frequently, but not understanding the enemy at work will keep you from achieving the success you desire.
Earl Nightingale provided us with the best definition of success I have ever heard: “Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.” In other words, if you’re progressively going after a worthy ideal and realizing that each and every day, you’re already a successful person. You’re successful because you’re aware that this journey has no final destination – if it did you’d reach it and be done. You don’t want to be done growing do you? The Universe is about more life, and if you’re not growing you’re dying. The progression, also referred to as the journey, is what keeps you in a constant state of flow and growth.
The point is this. If you’re not getting the results you want in your life or your business then something must be that’s holding you back. That something is your “enemy” and identifying what it is only half the battle. Just know you weren’t born with it, you were given it, and now is the time to give it back. This thing is the real enemy of success. The enemy of individuality. The enemy of expressing yourself as the beautiful person that you are in every area of your life. It’s time to make the decision that you are no longer going to stifle that side of yourself that is destined for success. To do that you have to truly understand who the enemy is. That’s where I come in. It’s time to get down to brass tax and know your enemy.
