“The degree to which a person can grow is directly proportional to the amount of truth he can accept about himself without running away.”
― Leland Val Van De Wall
Happy New Year! Welcome to YOUR year, 2019!
This week I’m introducing a new series where I am committed to bringing in Movers & Shakers who are making a big impact in their lives and the lives of others.
For this initial interview, I am pleased to present a conversation with my former client and good friend Marla Mattenson. Marla is a Relationship & Intimacy Expert who specializes in working with entrepreneur couples, who have an urgent desire to transform both their relationship and their business. In the years I have known Marla she has done so much so quickly in her business, and it was an absolute pleasure to have a conversation about that journey and the changes she had to make to achieve the success she desired.
When I first met Marla she was a high school math teacher that knew she was destined for bigger things but was more comfortable hiding out in the classroom living a secure life. She loved what she did, but deep down knew there was something else out there for her. When she decided to make her own transformation and leave the classroom, she knew it wasn’t going to be easy, even painful at times. In those difficult early moments of being an entrepreneur, she shifted her thinking to a place of full surrender and was able to rise up and build a thriving business.
In this episode you’ll learn:
- Personal growth lies within the discomfort you are currently feeling
- Nothing shows up in your life without the committed action to bring it in
- How you’re making life hard and what you can do to stop it NOW
- How having a mentor sows the seeds of growth and sets you up for ultimate success
