Episode 041: 15 Traits of People Pleasers

A “people pleaser” is one of the nicest and most helpful individuals you can meet. They never say “no”, can always be counted on for a quick favor and get the job done.

Being a people pleaser doesn’t sound half bad right?!?

The truth is that it can be an extremely unhealthy pattern of behavior and one that runs deep into your subconscious programming.

People pleasers come in all shapes and sizes. They can be highly impressionable, have an intense need to not be wrong, emotionally immature with low self-esteem, and often times addicted to approval. These are just a few of the traits that people pleasers exhibit.

So, you’re probably asking yourself, “Am I a people pleaser? Do I allow others to take advantage of me or my services? Do I knowingly or unknowingly allow toxic people into my life?”

In today’s episode, I am going to walk you through the 15 traits that people pleasers exhibit and to identify if you are one of them.

Relax, I’ll be gentle …

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • The 15 traits of people pleasers and an explanation of each
  • The root of people pleasing comes from fear, where we protect ourself in a dysfunctional environment, and we seek approval through others
  • How a lack in self-trust gives your power over to others and how you need to learn to trust yourself to build self confidence.
