Episode 035: The J Curve

Let me start with an idea to shift your perception.

Think about the amount of money you’re currently making in your business or in your job. Ask yourself this question, and be honest with yourself, “Is this truly what I want?”

If you answered no, you’re not alone. If something is not where you want it to be, it’s because you’re not aware of where you want it to be.

Many years ago I created what I call the J Curve. This J Curve is designed to show the generations we came from and the layers of programming that come with it.

When we think in terms of our own J Curve, by the time your family beliefs and values got to you, you didn’t even think about why you thought in such a way. You just did. They were all given to you by an authority figure who taught you to act a certain way or be a certain way.

So, why do we believe what we believe?

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • About the J Curve and how you’re in it right now.
  • The importance of personal responsibility and its correlation to your results.
  • How your search for meaning has brought you to this point and how a paradigm shift is inevitable.

  1. I have already started changing my thoughts and habits. And talking to my sub consciousness at night. I’m feeling more positive in myself but my husband is not so keep a shield up to block his negativity. I am using Sarah sprout at the moment and is good. I still have a long way to go but I can see and feel the changes.

    1. That’s great that you are working to change your thoughts Shelley. Have you had a conversation with your husband around your growth and where you want to go with this new line of thinking? If not, it may be overdue.

  2. Been missing your wisdom David, happy you’ve got the podcast. The J-Curve episode was a great reminder of something I learned from you years ago but the quote you closed with from the Walled Garden of Truth is one I shall hold dear. And share as I’m about to go do a group coaching call and my peeps need it. Thank you.

    1. Hi Gregory Anne, so great to hear from you! Very happy to get the reminder to you at the perfect time. Appreciate you listening and sharing my podcast!
